We love working with schools across south Wales to arrange brilliant author events, from large-scale multi-school visits to smaller online workshops.

WORLD BOOK DAY:
World Book Day 2023 will be held on 2 March, when children of all ages will come together to share the joy of reading for pleasure. If you would like to arrange a World Book Day pop-up book stall in your school, please get in touch on: info@griffinbooks.co.uk
SCHOOLS LOVE READING:
All pupils aged 11 to 16 in state secondary schools in Wales will receive a special Schools Love Reading book token worth £7.00 to exchange for a book of their choice. The campaign aims to celebrate reading for pleasure and the benefits it brings to readers of all ages and abilities, as well as supporting the book industry in Wales. The Schools Love Reading scheme is funded by the Welsh Government and delivered by Books Council of Wales in partnership with independent bookshops in Wales.
We're looking forward to working with schools from across the Cardiff and Vale area, to ensure that every student receives a book they’ll love for years to come. We have created our own Schools Love Reading order pack which is designed to make the process of ordering books (for potentially 1000s of students) as easy and as straightforward as possible. We also hope that it will give students the widest range of choice when it comes to choosing their book. Schools Love Reading book tokens have a face value of £7.00, however we will redeem them for books with an RRP up to and including £8.99 - please refer to your book tokens for additional terms and conditions.

DIVERSE BOOK BOX:
In collaboration with Timbrell Education we are now offering a DIVERSE BOOK BOX for schools. This box includes 30 books specifically chosen to promote diversity and inclusivity in your school library or classroom and has appropriate titles for students ranging from Reception to Year 6.
Take the work out of diverisfying your library with our book box; we choose the titles for you, package it up (including bookmarks for your school!) and deliver the box free of charge*.
